The Duel of Duality

The Duel of Duality

Just in Passing.

I've often heard it expressed.

I have concured on more than one occasion I must confess.

A dubious if not ominous phrase rendered to a mock cliche.

How true I really can't say.

"The World is Goin' to Hell in a Hand Basket"

Well I/we can take solace in the fact that so far. That it's been a very long slog up to this point in time. To say the least. Well I just got to casually wonderin' about that the other day. Since we havn't got there just yet. (arguably)

Just what if at all. Win or lose. Make it or break it.

What exactly would be? If at all. The final and/or ultimate result/goal of...

Life and the whole Human Experience its self?

And by extension. On a scale of 1 to 100.

Between hell in a hand basket and God knows what at the finish line.

About where would you place us?

Also just for the hell of it.

What are our odds we'll get it right?

As for me and my Black Birds eye?

Well I feel/think we're just marking time.

And it's passing us by.

People look to me and say
Is the end near, when is the final day
What's the future of mankind
How do I know, I got left behind

Everyone goes through changes
Looking to find the truth
Don't look to me for answers
Don't ask me, I don't know

How am I supposed to know
Hidden meanings that will never show
Fools and prophets from the past
Life's a stage and we're all in the cast

Ya gotta believe in someone asking me who is right
Asking me who to follow, don't ask me, I don't know
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

Nobody ever told me I found out for myself
Ya gotta believe in foolish miracles
It's not how you play the game
It's if you win or lose you can choose
Don't confuse win or lose, it's up to you

Go, go, go ...

Don't ask me, I don't know

Beats the hell outta me too.

If Ozzy doesn’t know, who does? Lol. (great song btw!) I think life as we know it now is precarious at best.

I think its always been a precarious affair at best. I can’t come up with place to put us on that scale my self really. But up till now I think human kinds greatest success is failing to have done away with it self so far. Not for lack of tryin’ I might add.

Very true, black bird. I think along the lines of how things go when, say, the power goes out. Pure chaos! It doesn’t take much!

Along with no gas and no running water. Shows over for sure.

All those things we so easily take for granted ~ that’s why I think being “off the grid” even a little bit is smart. Solar panels and a water source at least…would be a smart way to go. I’d like to get set up like that one of these days.

Wouldn’t do you much good for long. When Mob Rule sets in. Which would happen real soon. Because as a human race ya aren’t nearly as civilized as ya like to think ya are. Poor little ol’ me as an innocent avian bystander. Am doomed to most likely be some savage’s chow long B4 the lot of ya fall in the abyss.

Oh believe me, I’m not fooled by any such civility. A certain cruise ship comes to mind: they had lost power and were stranded out in the Gulf of Mexico. What began as an orderly attempt to distribute food before it went bad quickly disintegrated into a free for all where the ones who could push the others out of the way…well you get my drift.

To be honest I’m not sure I could answer this
But be that it may I liked how the terminator described the human race .
" it’s in our nature to kill ourselves "
    Just a thought my friend

Yes indeed wonderwall. I even go ya one further. It may very well be in our DNA. At least I’m certain it starts from all that microscopic cell dividing that goes on from conception.

I concur I guess there’s no such thing as a perfect design, and yes one does wonder what we all encounter or exposed too growing up somehow has a detrimental bearing of our outcome
Then again I could be wrong too, been there Afew times in me life

Well be it in our DNA and/or our very nature this dark attribute we seem to possess.
Either way. Love thy brother is a quaint notion but I never did put much faith in all that Kumbaya stuff.
And there me well seasoned cowpoke. May very well be where lay the seeds and workings of the eternal struggle between self preservation or annihilation.

Couldn’t have said it any better black bird.
You have a way of saying things I’ve seldom heard.
But then you are indeed an exceptional noble bird.
